The Bovine Brigade

They're tough. They're mean. They moo.

Don't miss the bovine brigade -- coming soon to a pasture near you.

Actually, French cows are supposed to say "meuh", not "moo." But I guess I haven't picked up any difference in their accent yet.

This reminds me of a time when we were in France and there was a herd of cows grazing in lush grass by a stream. A small boy who was with his dad pointed at the cows and said "gourmands"..precious.

You're right betty c., the difference is in the delicate curve of the "meuh". Obviously French cows have the French pout!! lol

I like cows. They are such peaceful animals...and also, if it weren't for cows, there wouldn't be cheese and life would not be worth living :-)

Well, there would be goat and sheep milk cheese...but I agree, cows are soothing somehow.

I LOVE this photo of the cows? Where is the location compared to where you live? It's beautiful scenery.

It's probably about 20-25 miles from where we live, in Aveyron. My husband took the picture so I can't really say a lot about it!

Betty,

These are sweet, they don't LOOK very mean to me. What a pretty photo, with the petite chateau in the background!
