In the North shore of Chicago there is a big trend to hire lighting consultants to bring out the best lines of your house. And, I know it is a bit excessive but I love the results. Don't think a consultant was brought in for this building---but the effect is beautiful and haunting.

Lovely photo, Betty!

Oh, Betty, wonderful!

I like your little cartoon image, too.

Barack is the one, it seems. Hillary must concede, though.

L sent off a card last week, btw.

tut-tut- -- For the icon image, I was feeling like the cathedral shot was a little gloomy, even though it's one of my favorites! I also thought the new one was appropriate for Blog Peace day (or some such thing which was yesterday) and the Obama nomination!

I created it on this fun site that I'll have to refer to soon...

b -- I wanted to have just a tad more daylight in this photo, but actually I like the way it turned out.

That is a great shot. So rarely does one see green dominate negative spacing.

Hmmmm ... a roadside motel where a murder took place? Or maybe I watch too many horror films.

Looks kind of weird he way it's lit from the top only. Are they being enviromentally friendly or something?

Yes, this is an old hotel that I drive by all the time. I would love to go in and snoop around!
