And I'd like to thank...

I was named "Washington State Debate Coach of the Year" in 1989.

And that was the last time I received an award of any sort.

Yes indeed: although I've participated in my fair share of memes, I've never been honored by having a blogging award bestowed on me! So thank you, Nicole, for listing La France Profonde on your list of ten blogs you love.

Now of course the little picture is cute, but what means the most to me is what Nicole wrote about LFP:
"A beautiful blog about Betty's life in a rural part of France. Her writing and photos are amazing."
And now for the hard part -- I'm supposed to award TEN other bloggers with the same!

I'm afraid I'll have to get to that later, when I catch up with everything blog-related this summer in Olympia.

Until then, merci Nicole!

What a lovely award and cute picture. I totally agree with Nicole. Your blog is filled with beauty and I am always wonderfully surprised by what I see when I get here. You, Betty, are not predictable.
Look forward to your posts from Olympia.

You are welcome Betty and THANK YOU! How fun to give you your second award ever. I don't think I have received many either. Don't worry about the time or passing it on. Do it when and if you have a chance. By the date, I think you were in college around the same time I was.

What a darling little logo!

I cannot limit anything to 10 - good luck!

Nicole, I don't think that's possible -- I was COACHING debate, not participating in it. You look like a young'un to me...

Oh, that is a very well-deserved award (and how cute is it?!)! I too always look forward to coming here and enjoying your beautiful photos and writing about your life in France and just anything and everything that you share with us!

Hey, I'm not signing off FP and CQ for the summer yet! I'm just putting off passing on the award until the summer -- when I'll be blogging from And So Forth and taking a break from my two major blogs. But until July, I'll be keeping up with FP and Cuisine Quotidienne, so stick around!

Cute little award. Congratulations.
You are not going to sign off form THIS blog as well are you? (or from Cuisine?)

Congrats Betty and you really deserved that - its an honour to have received the same award as you!
I've collected mine on my Awards page.

Btw: Didn't know you had a coach experience too!

Congrats! You know.... she's right. Your blog is awesome.

Are you coming up to Seattle this summer?

Renny -- Don't tell me you were a debate coach! Does that exist in Norway!

Thanks for the comment, F.O.T. I replied by email.

This is my summer blogging plan:

Do some posting to FP but not as many photo posts -- focus a little more on writing. I found last summer that it was hard to get inspired to post about France when I was enjoying life in Olympia so much.

I probably won't post much to CQ but I want to get it reorganized and it will be getting a redesign.

And So Forth will be my home base in Olympia because I want to spend some time blogging about things I never get to (politics, reading, movies, etc.)

So don't worry, nothing is going away! I'm just going to be blogging a little differently over the summer.
