It feels like night, but the changing dusky blue sky reminds us it isn't...

quite yet...

I love the rich depth of the soon to be night sky in that second picture, as if you could reach right out and touch it.

What's interesting is that I wasn't even aware of the blue sky when I took the photo -- I was totally focused on the light reflecting onto the windows and the balcony of the building.

That blue is stunning!

Interesting that what the camera sees is not necessarily what you are focusing on at the time.

I like the second pic especially and the way the windows reflect that delectable blue.

Great shots!

I love houses being lit up---it is like highlighter blush for la maison. Tres belle.

LBR -- I love your simile, it's certainly not one I would have thought of! But so true...

Night shots are tricky, but these are so well done. The blue is so fantastic in the second shot.

You have really caught something here, BC. I am thinking I want to visit Rodez...

As always, love the photograph!

Have you ever been to Dallas? A lot of the newer townhomes in the ritzy part of town are modeled after classic French buildings. The 2nd photo here reminds me of these townhomes off of Northwest Highway, near NorthPark Mall. I've always wondered what it would be like to live in one of those.

Salut,
Marjorie

I love that blue night sky~these are terrific photos! Need to do some catching up on your previous blogs. Hope to get this done this weekend.

Marjorie -- No, I haven't been to Dallas but that neighborhod sounds interesting.

Jann -- Thanks for dropping by! It's always nice to hear from you.

To all -- Thank you for the many comments on these photos. It's a good thing I caught them when I did because this week's weather wouldn't have allowed such shots...

Great pictures. I drove through Rodez just the other day but it was not at an hour when it would look this good... Amazing!

Betty Carlson said...

LOL, Justin, you're right that Rodez doesn't always look that good! It's a town that benefits immensely, visually speaking, from blue skies. That may sound idiotic because I know most towns do, but Rodez can be particularly grey and gloomy. And that has been the case recently.
