Shut down, emptied out

I started a ten-day vacation this afternoon.

I should be elated, but instead I feel shut down and emptied out.

I suppose that in itself is a sign I need a vacation...

Yes, yes it does! Enjoy your holiday!

Goodness! Do some yogic breathing and wade into your holiday. I'm sure you'll feel rejuvenated shortly.

tut-tut -- I know, I'm sure things will look up very soon. I put a lot of energy into my job, so sometimes when I get a break, I just go blank for a day or two.

The gloomy weather we've been having doesn't help as I approach my "spring break" either.

Now, if you're feeling the same on days 7, 8 and 9, well, then there might be a problem. Day 10 of course is already wasted because you'll be thinking about the return to work the following day. In any case, enjoy your time away from the saltmines.

Randal, Days 5 through 9 will be spent in Paris, so I rather doubt I will be feeling the same way...unless I decided to do the cemetery tour, which I have already ruled out!

Bonne Vacances !
We're off too, in search of some warm sunny weather (we've had a week of non-stop rain !)- thanks for stopping by my blog, I'm new to all this and, so far, I'm not doing a very good job, nevertheless
"practice makes perfect", as they say..:)

I hope you are having a wonderful time in Paris, Betty. I know what you mean about feeling emptied out. Paris should help that.

Mimi, I'm back and I can tell you it sure did! Everything seems possible after five days in Paris--it was so energizing!
