This poor lonesome cowboy is riding in the wide open spaces of Southern Aveyron...which is one of the reasons I think the pic is so funny.

Wow...Lucky Luke was a popular feature (along, of course, with Astérix) of the Pilote kid's magazine back when I was ten and living across the border in Geneva, but I didn't know anyone still remembered that character.
