On the way to school, I saw....

(Click on photo to enlarge -- it's worth it!)

Ken of Living the Life in St. Aignan just blogged about a list of reasons "Why we travel to France" that he had found on a forum.

Some aspects of France will never make the list. But doesn't this photo still have a certain je-ne-sais-quoi?

(Photo taken in the Corrèze department by Thierry Jouanneteau.)

For some reason it makes me think of that Pink Floyd song:

"We don't need no education,
"We don't need no thought control..."

We just need a huge pile of manure round the back of the schoolyard...

Nice atmospheric photo though. Maybe they have a surplus of manure in the Corrèze - it's where Chirac is from isn't it? :-)

How cheeky! That comment has just got to be from a Brit! And yes, that is where Chirac is from, although not anywhere very near this particular manure pile...

I was thinking that, no, this could not be a pile of poop so near a school, but alas, I see I was wrong. Funny!

It's one of those things I wouldn't have thought worthy of attention until I started writing this blog. Special thanks to my husband who got up early to take photos in the village (which will remain anonymous) in Corrèze over the Christmas holidays!

Gorgeous building behind..just look at that glorious slate roof.
I won't comment on the steaming pile of **** except to say it's nicely atmospheric.
