Oh, Betty C! I just love seeing that building and it is so appropriate to see it today--June 18th--when De Gaulle called upon the people of France to continue the fight against the occupying forces in WW II to save their country!

Nous avons perdu la bataille. Nous n'avons pas perdu la guerre!"

Paris again? I love the angle, very original!

Tinsie -- Yes, I go up about four times a year for work. I'd like to get up there a little more for pleasure, though!

You take such lovely photos.....(for some...well for me anyway) your photography is a way to see parts of France that I'd love view. Maybe one day!

I once had to leave Paris on a day like that - blue sky, a smattering of clouds, etc. More than once, actually. Now that is hard to do. Love the neighborhood just north of the AdT, BTW,

Hi Mimi -- Thanks for your comment. Are you talking about the Avenue Carnot area? My meetings in Paris are on the Avenue de la Grande Armée, which I find a little too busy. I just discovered the Avenue Carnot where it runs into the rue des Acacias, which is a very nice calm place to have breakfast before my meetings, and just a few minutes away from where I end up having to go. It doesn't seem like the same area at all!

This is such a lovely photo-you certainly captured the moment! Did you do the climb for other shots since it was so gorgeous that day? I am going to check out the Avenue Carnot on my next trip. Take care..

Thanks Jann, great to hear from you. No, I didn't go up the Arc -- I was just in Paris for a meeting. Rodez to Paris by plane in one day is always a "trip." Enjoyable, but too short.
